Dear Friends,
Birthday Snowman

This was a big month in our home as my daugther Sophia and I celebrate our birthdays one day apart.

To enjoy the day, we headed to the local mountains to build a snowman and have a snowball fight! Then we drove down the mountain to sunny, 85 degree weather. Gotta love Los Angeles!

As spring approaches, you may be ready to refresh and rejuvenate your life. If so, read on to discover the top 5 ways people from over 100 countries boost their well-being.

Warmly,
Dr. Darlene Mininni

Well-Being

Total Well Being

We'd all like total well-being, but how do you get it? Now Deepak Chopra, Senior Scientist at the Gallop Organization, shares the results of an exciting new study that uncovers the five keys to well-being common to people around the world. The happier you are in each of these areas, the better your life will be.

The 5 Keys To Well-Being

Career. Are you happy in your job or what you do everyday? 80% of people say, "No." To boost your career well-being, do something each day in your work that uses your strengths. Also, find one person who shares your passion so you can inspire each other.

Social. Do you have at least one happy friend? If you do, then you'll be happier because emotions are contagious. Seek people you like and grow your network of friends.

Financial. How do you spend your money? People who spend their earnings on experiences  (think movies, vacations, parties) are happier than people who spend on things (think flat screen TVs or cars). And they don't get into debt to pay for these experiences. They save first, spend second.

Community. Do you know a group of people who share your passion? Whether it's volunteering for a cause or belonging to a religious organization, spending time with a community of like-minded people can boost your well-being.

Physical. Do you take care of your body? People around the world who have high levels of well-being: exercise 20 minutes a day, get 7-8 hours sleep, and eat healthy  foods that are mostly red, blue and green (and not because of dyes!).
