Drink Tea & Relax ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After a tough day, sitting with a cup of hot tea sounds
pretty nice, doesn't it? Leave it to the tea-loving British
to figure out why.Researchers at the University College London discovered that people who drink caffeinated black tea can de-stress more quickly than those drinking a caffeinated tea substitute. Even after a particularly yucky event -- like the threat of losing their job or a nasty accusation -- people who drank tea had less stress hormones in their bodies. Because black tea is so chemically complex, scientists haven't figured out which ingredient is responsible for its soothing effect. But one thing is for sure. Although lots of health benefits have been linked with green tea, looks like black tea is a winner too!
