what if you’re not an animal, a rock or a tree? It will

Listening to your favorite tunes can change your blood pressure, breathing pattern and heart rate, which in turn shifts your nervous system and transforms your feelings. That’s why some hospitals are now using music to calm frightened patients, reduce pain and speed healing. Next time you’re in a funk, forget the chocolate cake. Reach for your iPod instead. Soon, you may be singing a different tune.
